Had the wonderful opportunity to photograph Katie and Mark’s wedding as a second shooter for Christina from Sloan Images. A very special THANKS to Katie & Mark for allowing me to be a witness to and part of their big day – best wishes for your marriage!! And to Christina, as well, for letting me tag along.
Below are a few of my favorites; you can see some of Christina’s here – LINK
A Well Groomed Groom

Stairway to Heaven

Duuuun, dunt. Dunn, dunt. Dun, dunt, dun, dunt, dun, dunt… (Think “Jaws” theme song… kinda really hard to “spell” out)

Lean just a little to the right… a little more… a little moo… whoops, not quite that far! It’s not San Fran, but we had some fun with the Benson Trolley; almost lost Katie once, but luckily Mark was there to catch her – closest I’ve come to breaking a bride, but thanks to Mark my record remains untarnished.
)

Details! Katie did a wonderful job selecting – and in the case of the “flower banner” on the balcony, creating by hand – all of the details and decorations dressing up the Western Heritage Museum for her and Mark’s big day.

A bird’s eye view of Katie and Mark’s vows.

Inextricable. The Sand. Katie & Mark.

Cake, Cake, And More Cake! And Candy! Of all of the weddings I have had the privilege to photograph or be a part of, Katie’s & Mark’s had the largest, most delectable spread of cakes, candies and desserts I have every seen. And they were all stunning… and tasty (at least that’s what I heard, not that I’d stop photographing for cake or anything…
)

Katie & Mark… not much more I can say here – you can see the LOVE.

Katie & Mark’s 1st dance as newlyweds. Not usually a fan of “the dip” as it often looks awkward. No awkwardness here, though, Mark’s dips are done right.

A very big CONGRATULATIONS to J and J, who in addition to getting married in a beautifully simple ceremony this past weekend also hold the illustrious position of being the first to be featured on the new blog! Congrats!
A little bit of black and white bridal gorgeousness.

And now gorgeous Bride in color (plus the dapper Groom).

J & J’s ceremony was held at the Trinity Methodist Church in Grand Island, NE.

J was escorted down the aisle and given away by her son and her father.

Exchanging Rings

Prayer after the unity sand pouring ceremony.

K-I-S-S-I-N-G!

Back down the aisle and a close-up look at their unified sands.

At the center of the church was a beautiful little grotto which we had about 3 minutes in. I think we made the best of them, what do think?

After the grotto, J&J ran into a little trouble for too much PDA.

Even the presence of the S.W.A.T. team couldn’t keep them apart for long though.

*A special thanks to the members of the Grand Island S.W.A.T. team for their help in corralling J&J. Also, wanted to point out we didn’t actually interrupt them or keep them from doing their jobs, the couple invited them for the photos and they very graciously helped out. *
J&J’s reception was held in the lower level of the Balz Banquet Room.

CAKE!!!!

The Bells! The Bells!

What Bells?

All Smiles!

J&J’s 1st Dance

What a stunning couple… “Whoa” is right.

Once again a very, very big CONGRATULATIONS and best wishes to J&J on their marriage. Thank you so much for allowing me to be a part of your day!
God Bless,
Ben
